These six ideas came together to form our name and represent the kind of jewelry we hope to share with the world.
I founded Cireva at the age of 36, during a turning point in my life.
After going through cancer and later facing an unexpected corporate layoff, I found myself starting over. I wanted to rely on my own abilities to build something meaningful and create a place for myself in the world.
I have always been drawn to colored gemstones, especially sapphires. Yet when I looked back on my life, I realized that I had never truly owned a high-quality sapphire piece that felt personal to me.
Natural sapphires are beautiful, but their prices can make them difficult for many people to own. Lab-grown sapphires offer another possibility: the beauty, color, and character of sapphire at a more accessible price.
To me, a gemstone grown in a laboratory carries a special meaning.
It develops gradually under carefully created conditions, much like the life we build for ourselves. We may not be able to choose everything that happens to us, but we can continue shaping who we become.
You can become the person you want to be, as long as you are willing to keep growing toward that person.
There are already many beautiful lab-grown sapphire pieces in the world, but I wanted to find jewelry that felt more individual—designs that could represent different personalities, emotions, and stages of life.
I am not a formally trained jewelry designer. Instead, I began seeking out independent jewelry designers who shared the same belief: that jewelry should carry individuality and meaning rather than simply follow trends.
Their creativity gives each gemstone its character and each piece its soul. I was deeply drawn to their work, and that became one of the reasons I created Cireva—to share these distinctive designs with more people at thoughtful and honest prices.
Our collections include both lab-grown gemstone jewelry and cubic zirconia jewelry.
The materials may differ, and materials naturally influence price, but we do not believe that beautiful design has a hierarchy. Every piece can represent a particular feeling, memory, or moment in someone’s life.
Jewelry does not need to be the most expensive thing you own to become meaningful. It may reflect who you are today, the person you are becoming, or simply a feeling you want to keep close.
At Cireva, we do not believe you need to wait for someone else to give you something beautiful.
You do not have to wait for a promotion, a passed exam, a birthday, a wedding, motherhood, or someone else’s recognition before choosing a piece for yourself.
Jewelry does not have to be a reward for becoming more successful, more accomplished, or more worthy.
